In 2020, the release of the album Make It Happen by The Soul Seeders and a Parisian Carlton concert canceled for health reasons lead to a virtual meeting of the protagonists. The desire to create together is immediate. Carlton is collaborating with LOVEMEDO RECORDS in 2022 with the goal of a new album. The meeting of the Soulman and the backing band The Soul Seeders produces a rooted and progressive soul. Carlton Jumel Smith & The Soul Seeders, with Pleasure, chart a path of hope and fight fate with love and joy, the two fundamental feelings of their soul.

New Yorker Carlton Jumel Smith’s verb is all about loyalty and love.
Unconditional fan of James Brown: from the age of eight, after attending a concert at the Apollo Theater, he devoted unlimited admiration to the Godfather of Soul and wanted to become a singer.
He will then refine his vocals to the sound of Motown from his neighborhood of Spanish Harlem for years.
Transmitting positive values, bringing people together, spreading love: Carlton’s message cannot leave anyone indifferent and his show amazes with so much passion and mastery.
